I shot this picture a the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage, Alaska. While it is not really in the wilderness, the brown bear exhibit alone at this beautiful conservation center is 18 acres and is the largest in all of the United States. Among the Brown bears are Coastal Brown Bears and the Grizzly Brown Bears. I am not 100% sure but this might be a Grizzly brown bear.
While I was taking the picture I thought she (I think) was massaging her foot with a stick. But look closely. It is a bone probably the size of a human thigh bone.
